Tim ‘Ace Man’ Davies, four-time World Crazy Golf Champion and John ‘Big Top Ted’ McIver, three-time British Minigolf champion have just put the final touches to a unique instructional putting DVD, suitably titled, ‘Nutters with Putters’. The DVD covers stance, grips, strategy, mind games and championship psychology. The team issued a challenge to Tiger Woods, to ‘Enter the Tiger Trap’. The PR stunt was inspired by, the then, Cassius Clay’s challenge to Sonny ‘The Bear’ Liston, when he jangled a real bear trap to bait the fighter.
Siren developed the press campaign for the DVD and secured local and national press coverage including, Observer, Guardian, London Paper, Mirror and Sunday Sport as well as reviews and reader competitions in all the major golfing magazines. Tim was also interviewed on local radio in the run up to the Virgin Money World Crazy Golf Championships which took place in Hastings on Oct 27 – 28, 2007.
